Building permit fees are determined by Cost of Construction method. Cost of Construction is multiplied by the Permit Fee Multiplier, (presently $5.00 per $1,000.00). The Cost of Construction is determined by the use of the following formula developed by the International Code Council (ICC) and updated twice yearly. The use of this formula will ensure uniform estimated construction costs for all types of structures.
Building Permit Fee = Gross Area x Cost Construction x Permit Fee Multiplier
