Holland has a new Historical Society! We meet on the third Thursday of every month, and we try to have a program or a speaker every other month. Our next program will be on the history of the Rod and Gun Club, and will take place on Thursday, May 22nd at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
During April Vacation, we will be hosting a StoryWalk about Earth Day and recycling for families with school aged children. The story will be Our Big Home by Linda Glaser, and we will be planting things. Please call the library for more information.

Our meeting will be April 28th at 1:00. We will be discussing Anna Quindlen's Still Life with Bread Crumbs . Rebecca, a New York photographer in her 60s, is facing financial d ifficulties, and moves to a cottage upstate to regroup. There she meets a cast of characters very different from her New York circle. One, a roofer named Jim, helps her to understand the deeper meaning of her work. New members always welcome; see you on the 28th!
In June we will be reading Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn, and we are planning a trip to Twain's house in Hartford. Watch this space for more information!
