The Holland Police Department is dedicated to providing quality services
to our residents and the community. Our police department strives to continue
to improve the service and level of protection offered in our daily interactions
with the community.
An important responsibility of this police department is to ask the people it
serves their perceptions and opinions about the job we do and to solicit
recommendations as to how we can work together to do a better job.
With that in mind, I would ask for your assistance in reporting crime or any
suspicious activity that may occur in Holland. The police department needs the
cooperation of all its citizens to be effective in crime control and prevention.
If you see activity that causes you to think “Should I call the Police?” the answer
is “Yes”. The police department would rather respond to hundreds of false calls than
one sustained major crime. If the criminal element knows that a community is
supportive of its police department, they may think twice before committing
an offense in Holland.
