Dog Licenses

If you are the owner of a dog which resides in Holland and you have yet to register your dog please visit the Holland Town Clerk’s Office in person or contact them via phone at 413-245-7108 ext: 102.

Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 140 s. 137, the owner or keeper of a dog over the age of 6 months shall obtain a license for the dog which will be processed in the office of the licensing authority in the city or town in which the dog is kept.

Please be advised that no license will be issued unless the owner of the dog provides the licensing authority with a veterinarian's certification that the dog has been vaccinated in accordance with M.G.L. c. 140 s. 145B, which states in part that the dog shall be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian.

Whoever violates section 137 shall be assessed a penalty of not less than $50.00 in accordance with section 141, and whoever violates section 145B may be punished by a fine of up to $100.00.
