****NOTICE TO RESIDENTS REGARDING MOTOR VEHICLE EXCISE TAX ABATEMENTS***

Any owners of motor vehicles registered in Holland where the vehicle has been sold, traded, gifted or junked during the past three (3) years may qualify for an abatement of the tax and a partial refund if the original tax was more than five dollars $5.00. In order to qualify; the vehicle registration must have been cancelled before December of the tax year AND the vehicle must have been sold, traded junked or given away to some-one else. Abatement Applications are available to download on the Assessors’ page of the Town of Holland website. The application can be filed by mail, email (assessor@hollandma.org) or by putting it into the payment box outside Town Hall.
