3rd Annual Military Working Dog 5k Walk & Run

On Saturday, August 14, 2021, the 3rd Annual Military Working Dog 5K Walk & Run will be taking place in Holland between the hours of 9 AM and 1 PM. To accommodate this event there may be temporary road closures, detours, and parking restrictions in effect.

The race will begin in the Holland Elementary School parking lot, [28 Sturbridge Rd], and the race route will follow Sturbridge Rd, to Alexander Rd, to East Brimfield Rd, back to Sturbridge Rd, and will end in the school parking lot. Parking for the event will be at The Holland Congregational Church parking lot, [11 Sturbridge Rd].

Parking will be restricted in the school parking lot as well as the Town Hall and Hitchcock Field parking lots. Those attending the event will not be authorized to park in the Library parking spots and parking will not be permitted along the race route.

We will attempt to minimize disruption to traffic as much as possible and we are asking the public to please be cautious while driving due to the fact that race participants will be utilizing the roadways.

These restrictions are authorized pursuant to Town of Holland General Bylaws, specifically c. 9 § 9.2.5.2.
