Fire Department
The Fire Department issues burning permits, smoke detector / carbon monoxide inspection certificates, and does various storage tank inspections. Please call (413) 245-9733 x306 and leave us your name, phone number and address of the property and a Fire Inspector will call to schedule the inspection within 72 hours.
Please note that open burning is allowed only, at the discretion of the Fire Department, from January 15 to May 1. Permits are available to be purchased every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) at the Fire Station (7 Sturbridge Road) between 10:00 am and noon.
