BEACH PERMIT testing program

Town of Holland Board of Health is happy to announce that the Beach Testing Permit Program is available to all citizens of the Town who have a deeded beach interests. Per the joint board meeting held 8/28/23, citizens expressed the need for increased beach testing and increased access for deeded beaches to utilize the beach testing program.

In the past the BOH tested 4 deeded beaches and 1 town beach (legacy beaches). Per the 8/28/23 public meeting its imperative we test the beaches the children use, as such we have increased testing this season already and are now testing 11 deeded beaches and 1 town beach.   

Testing permits are now available in 1 and 2 season permits with testing season length or interval identified by the permittee. Team up with neighbors utilizing surrogate discount and save up to 75% on 1 and 2 year testing permits.

Application must be accompanied by copies of deeds and referenced plan. Applications fees vary based on chosen testing season. Laminated permits are available for an additional charge.

The Permit applications will be reviewed in timely manner. 

Payment for permit is not due until after application is received, reviewed and surrogate sampling discounts applied.
