The attached Process Flow chart is relevant to residential permit applications (Single Family, Two and/or Three Unit Multifamily properties).
Interior work can (usually) be decided by the Bldg. Dept. alone. Exterior work will require additional review from the appropriate Town Department(s) (ie ConCom, BOH...) prior to releasing a permit.
The overall timeline of a project depends on the pace of the construction efforts and the size of the project.
