Weekly Events at the Center
As a Community Center, all ages are welcome. We also welcome residents from other towns.
In addition to the weekly events, we have the following monthly events:
The first Monday of the month, at 10:30 am: Story-time Plus, for kids. This is geared towards kids ages pre-k but everyone is welcome, and an adult must stay with the child/children.
The 2nd Monday of the month, at 1 pm: Book club. Contact the Center to learn what the latest book is.
The 2nd Tuesday of the month, at 10:15 am: COA Meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend. Learn what the Council on Aging does for Seniors.
The 2nd Tuesday of the month nail trimming at 10 am. RSVP Required.
The 2nd Wednesday of the month, at 11 am: The Friends of the Holland Community Center Meeting. This happens most months but occasionally they change the time and date to accommodate people who are working, so check the schedule.
The 2nd Friday of the month: Western Massachusetts Food Bank - Brown Bag program for low income people, age 55+ who qualify.
We also serve an in house made lunch created by Monica, on Mondays and Wednesdays. Just about everything she makes is delicious and from scratch, right down to her dressings. The meal always comes with a dessert.
The cost is $5 for eat in, and $7 for take out. If you are a Holland Senior, the cost is $5 for eat in, or for take out.
Not all events require an RSVP, but if you sign up, it helps us if there are cancelations for any reason. If you would like to participate in any of the listed events, or if you would like to sign up for lunches, you can do that several ways.
To sign up you can:
1. Use the www.MyActiveCenter.com website. If you need a key tag number, please call the Center for it. This is our favorite way for people to sign up. Then we don't forget any follow through on a reservation, this also allows you to go back in and change it if you can no longer attend.

We do post things on social media but we do not use that platform for sign ups. Those are considered reminders only.
